Massage Therapy

Through the power of touch, registered massage therapists assist their clients to restore, maintain, and enhance well-being. Massage therapy can improve health and increase the feeling of well-being by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, encouraging the release of toxins, relieving tension, stimulating nerves, and stretching and loosening muscles to keep them more elastic.  Massage therapy is one of the most complimentary therapies to naturopathic care.

General Swedish Massage

This technique is used to increase relaxation, boost immune system, improve metabolism, increase flexibility, and relieve superficial muscular tensions and stress. It is a combination of fingertip, thumb, palm, elbow, and forearm techniques that only goes to the depth of the client’s tolerance.

Deep Tissue Massage

is a direct approach to relieve deep muscular tension that may be troublesome for the person to perform some of their acts of daily living. Deep tissue massage is a combination of fingertip, thumb, palm, elbow, and forearm techniques that only goes to the depth of the client’s tolerance.

Trigger Point Therapy

is used to decrease deep muscular tension in the form of a knot. It uses a combination of thumb and elbow muscle kneading techniques with either light, moderate, or deep pressures, depending on the clients tolerance to enhance blood flow to the knot, helping the tight muscular tissues to let go of the individual fibers and return to their natural place of alignment.

Reflexology Massage

is a specialized form of hand to foot massage that is exceptionally effective in delivering great benefits throughout the whole body. It is based on a complete network of reflex points, which stimulate all the internal systems of the body. Pressure is applied to reflex points and energy is then released through electrical impulses, created by massage.

Aromatherapy

is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function.
